Portugal Fashion is set to make a comeback with a series of in-person events starting in July. The fashion week will run from July 1 to 5, with the Tram Museum in Porto as the central venue, along with events in other cities. This edition marks a strategic repositioning as a national platform for communication, business, and innovation, aiming to showcase Portugal as a global fashion hub.
The Portugal Fashion Experience will not only showcase fashion but also lifestyle and technology, offering an immersive experience across various locations including Porto, Douro, Famalicão, Matosinhos, and Gondomar. This decentralized approach aims to enhance tourism, industry, and culture, reinforcing the fashion industry’s role in these sectors.
Monica Neto, the director of Portugal Fashion, emphasized the event’s commitment to the future by connecting designers, industry players, and the local community. The focus is on innovation, sustainability, and internationalization, positioning Portugal Fashion as a catalyst for transformation in the Portuguese fashion scene.
Under the theme “Fashion, Lifestyle & Innovation,” the Portugal Fashion Experience 2025 will showcase collections from renowned designers such as Miguel Vieira, David Catalán, Pé de Chumbo, and others. The event will also feature the BLOOM PWD by Salsa Jeans competition, highlighting contemporary clothing designs and fostering emerging talent in the fashion industry.
Additionally, the debut of the BLOOM Incubator program will support emerging brands with creative potential, offering mentorship, residencies, and presentation opportunities. The event will also host the Portugal Fashion Summit, providing a platform for industry stakeholders to engage in discussions and networking.
International participation is a key focus of Portugal Fashion, with the inclusion of African and Saudi Arabian designers, showcasing cultural diversity and creative exchange. The event will also feature an international showcase in Milan and Paris, further expanding the reach of Portuguese designers on the global stage.
Portugal Fashion’s strategic repositioning and innovative approach underscore its commitment to fostering creativity, sustainability, and international collaboration within the fashion industry.
