Iconic Brands Flourish at Goodman’s Rosebery Engine Yards in Sydney

Goodman’s Rosebery Engine Yards in Sydney has become a haven for iconic designer brands, with luxury retailers flocking to this new hybrid retail, showroom, and lifestyle precinct in Sydney’s South. Among the latest additions is the renowned global fashion brand Camilla, unveiling a chic 154 sqm boutique at this upscale development.

The precinct is set to welcome other prestigious brands like Scanlan and Theodore, Future Skin by Dr Amy Chahal beauty clinic, and home furnishing brands Saardé and Inartisan, along with fireplace specialist Oblica. Additionally, a 270 sqm childcare center, My Reggio Childcare, is scheduled to open later this year. The undisclosed rental rates and typical lease terms of 5 years or more showcase the strong confidence retailers have in this premium lifestyle destination.

David Wilson, the General Manager of Commercial Development, highlighted the area’s growth, emphasizing Rosebery’s transformation into a bustling hub for professionals, families, and creatives. The strategic location of Rosebery Engine Yards near major transport links and urban neighborhoods enhances its appeal, offering a unique fusion of convenience, aesthetics, and high-end brands.

The precinct boasts an impressive lineup of retailers, including well-known fashion labels such as Zimmermann, Rebecca Vallance, Aje, Camilla and Marc, Viktoria & Woods, and MJ Bale. Complementing these are premium accessory brands like Oroton and July Luggage. Lune Croissanterie, known for its artisanal pastries, opened its flagship store at the precinct, joining popular eateries like Gelato Messina.

Goodman has revitalized the historic site at 115-151 Dunning Avenue Rosebery, originally home to Buzacott & Co’s Rosebery Engine Works and the Commonwealth Weaving Mills. Preserving the site’s industrial heritage, Goodman seamlessly integrated modern design and sustainability features while retaining original elements like the brick façade, columns, and truss framing.

The precinct’s first phase, a collaboration between Group GSA and Goodman, officially opened in July 2024, offering a mix of retail, dining, childcare, and commercial offices. The adaptive reuse of the site’s 100-year-old structures reflects a harmonious blend of past and present, with over 20,000 repurposed bricks and the retention of industrial elements like the saw-tooth roof contributing to its unique industrial charm.

Goodman’s Rosebery Engine Yards stands as a testament to successful urban regeneration, breathing new life into a heritage site while attracting globally renowned designer brands and creating a vibrant destination for Sydneysiders seeking a premium shopping and lifestyle experience.
